Guide · Debrief

Debrief your games
against your repertoires.

Spot where you leave your lines and what your opponents really play, then fix it in one click.

The debrief compares your recent Lichess or Chess.com games with the repertoires you already have. It shows where you leave your lines, what your opponents really play and what works. Only your public games are read, and nothing is posted.

Add your username

The debrief works on the repertoires you already have. Add your Lichess or Chess.com username once with “Add my username”: ChessFlux reads your last 50 games on each site and compares them with each repertoire. The analysis reruns on its own, at most every 12 hours. Results show up in the repertoire’s “In your games” section (figure 1).

The four types of findings

Each finding has an icon and a color, on its thumbnail and in the debrief list:

ActionTrain the line

In the debrief, the board replays the game up to the key moment, then shows your move and your repertoire’s move (figure 2).

Figure 2 A repertoire debrief: a repertoire exit.
  1. 1 The list of findings. Arrow keys move from one to the next.
  2. 2 The board replays the game: your move, then your repertoire’s.
  3. 3 The finding type, with its title and explanation.
  4. 4 The main action: here, train the repertoire move.

Act on each finding

The main action depends on the finding: train the repertoire move after an exit, add the missing move or the right reply, or train the line after a trap. Training only covers the finding’s moves, not the whole repertoire.

Key takeaway

Deal with exits first: your repertoire already knows these moves, but they don’t come to you during games.

Once reviewed, a finding gets a green check on its thumbnail and in the list. When everything is reviewed, the next analysis happens the following day.
